Jennifer Van Sijll teaches screenwriting at the Art Institute in San Francisco and is the bestselling author of Cinematic Storytelling. She has an MFA from USC’s Department of Cinematic Arts.  Jennifer is a regular speaker at the Screenwriters’ Expo in Los Angeles.  She has written storylines for primetime television, as well as a TV pilot for an Emmy-winning children’s show starring Pat Morita. 

Jennifer has worked as a script analyst for Universal Pictures, independent producers, and pay television.  In 1994, she won the Panavision New Filmmaker Award.  In 1995 she was named honorary Gilliland Chair at SJSU for excellence in teaching.
