Jennifer Van Sijll teaches screenwriting at San Francisco State. She has an MFA from USC's Department of Cinema-Television. She has written storylines for primetime television, and a TV pilot for an Emmy-award winning children's show starring Pat Morita. Jennifer has worked as a script analyst for Universal Pictures, independent producers, and pay television. In 1994, she won the Panavision New Filmmaker Award. In 1995, she was named honorary Gilliland Chair at San Jose State for teaching excellence.

Jennifer has taught intensive weekend scriptwriting courses for UC Berkeley for six years. She has been featured on such television shows as The Gregory Mantell Show, Talkin' Pictures and Bravo! Jennifer regularly consults on film and television projects in Los Angeles and San Francisco.
